Colombo was once known as the Garden City of the East and although traces of a bucolic past are still present, this vibrant destination has long outgrown this moniker. The commercial and cultural capital of Sri Lanka is not only a stepping off point for the beaches and beautiful natural landscapes of the southern part of the island, but is also a popular tourist destination in its own right with museums, ornate temples and historical monuments. Whether you are travelling to Colombo to visit friends, enjoy a holiday or partake in business, let Qatar Airways take you there.
Formerly known as Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen Airport is the largest in Scandinavia and is close to Copenhagen city centre.
Because of its importance as the main air hub in Scandinavia, facilities and amenities at the airport are excellent, and passengers flying from Copenhagen with Qatar Airways will discover an efficient, friendly and premium quality service that is focused primarily on the passenger experience.
Transportation and parking
There are several bus services to and from the centre of the city to the airport. There are also free terminal shuttles, which run frequently between the terminals. The Metro station is located at the end of Terminal 3 and runs 4-6 minute intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15-20 minutes during the night. The travel time from Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen to the airport is 15 minutes.
Taxis in Copenhagen are plentiful and relatively cheap – you can ask your hotel concierge to arrange either taxis or a limousine service to the airport, which is a better option if you have a lot of luggage. There are more than 10,000 car parking spaces for short, medium and long-term stays.
