Hong Kong’s bright lights and extraordinary energy make it one of the most exciting destinations on the planet. Although a lot has changed in recent years, Hong Kong has retained that unique identity that has marked it as a key trading point for thousands of years. Ancient meets modern in this thriving metropolis, and Qatar Airways flies you to Hong Kong in comfort and style.

Flying from Dubai

Dubai International Airport is the second-busiest in the world, and the main air transport hub in the Middle East.   The airport is an architecturally-striking building that ensures passengers have everything they need to make their journey as comfortable as possible.

Flights from Dubai with Qatar Airways take you from this incredibly busy international hub to destinations all over the world.

Transportation and parking

Short-term car parks are situated just a few metres from the terminal’s entrance, while longer-term parking is accessible in a nearby location. Public buses are available to take passengers from long-term parking facilities to the main terminals.

The clean and efficient Metro trains run roughly every 10 minutes to and from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and there are plenty of taxis available. Drop-off points are located outside the main terminal entrances.

Buses arrive and leave from stands opposite Terminal 1, 2 and 3, but you will need to buy a Nol card in advance as the drivers do not take cash.

Arriving at Dubai International Airport

Qatar Airways flights from Dubai depart from Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport. However, Qatar Airways also flies from the new Dubai World Central Airport, so it is important to check which departure point your flight is leaving from.

To save time, visitors from countries that are granted automatic visas on entry to Dubai may find it useful to purchase an E-gate card to speed up immigration formalities. The E-gate card office is situated in the upstairs food court area of the Terminal 1 departures concourse.

Facilities and amenities

A 30-minute free Wi-Fi service is available for passengers, and longer access to the network is available for a small charge.

A comprehensive business centre offers a wide range of corporate services, and there are plenty of other facilities on offer including prayer rooms, baby care rooms, banks and medical services.

An excellent selection of retail outlets provide you with everything you could want from luxury leather goods to books and perfumes, while a choice of cafés and restaurants serve international cuisine, quick snacks and coffee.

Arriving in Hong Kong

Unique, vibrant and energetic – Hong Kong has everything a world-city has to offer. Flights to Hong Kong with Qatar Airways transport you to one of the most remarkable locations in the world. Filled with colour, noise, scents and sights, Hong Kong is unlike any other destination.

You can get a particularly spectacular view of Hong Kong Island from Victoria Peak, or head to the races at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and watch the sport of kings. Flights to Hong Kong with Qatar Airways take you to this incredible destination in comfort and style.

Tourist attractions

The Hong Kong Island is only one part of this region, and if you’re willing to travel beyond the skyscrapers and markets, then you’ll be able to discover many more attractions.

The New Territories offer unspoiled country parks, while the outlying island of Lantau is home to Hong Kong’s very own Disneyland.
On the Hong Kong Island itself, you’ll find plenty of attractions to explore including the Zoological and Botanical Gardens and Ocean Park.

On the Kowloon Peninsula, there are plenty of cultural and historical attractions, including the historic early-20th century Clock Tower and museums, such as the Hong Kong Space Museum and Museum of Art.

Nearby, Lantau Island is well-worth visiting if you want to escape the bright lights of the city for a while. Here, you can find open countryside, traditional fishing villages, secluded beaches and that essential slice of tranquillity.
