A total of 1,430 parking spaces are available, with the majority focused around Terminal 3. Here you’ll find an ultra-modern, multi-storey parking area within walking distance of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. It has covered, temperature controlled parking bays and air-conditioned pedestrian walkways to both terminals.
Long-term parking is available for a maximum of 60 days. The distinctive, green and white A1 buses depart from the lower curbside outside Terminals 1 and 3 and outside Terminal 2, the Cargo Building and the Police Complex. Car hire, chauffeur-driven limousines and a pick-up and collection services are all available.
Arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport
If you are flying from Abu Dhabi with Qatar Airways then you will need to head to Terminal 1. An online check-in service is available.
To the left of the entrance gate you can pay for your parking, while airport information is situated to the right, next to the Abu Dhabi information desk.
Facilities and Amenities
Facilities in Terminal 1 are plentiful, ranging from a selection of banks and ATM points, to passenger information and visa collection points (to the right of the second entrance gate).
A selection of shops selling everything from perfume and sunglasses, to books, jewellery and fine leather goods are distributed throughout all three levels of the terminal. Cafés and food outlets serve everything from fast food to light snacks and refreshments.
One of the largest cities in the USA and famous for being one of the country’s major commercial centres, Philadelphia is also one of the most important historical locations on the continent. Once the home of the early colonial government, today Philadelphia is reinventing itself as a 21st century hub for industry, commercial innovation and enterprise.
Book a flight to Philadelphia with Qatar Airways and discover the real heart of America in its colonial buildings, historic landmarks and modern, thriving commercial centre. It’s also a great way to meet ‘real’ Americans – generous, warm-hearted and welcoming people who are intensely proud of ‘Philly’ and all it has to offer the world.
Philadelphia is such a large city that it may be wise to invest in a Philadelphia CityPASS, which gives visitors entry to six major attractions within a nine-day period, making it ideal for tourists. Attractions included in the pass are The Franklin Institute, Adventure Aquarium, Philadelphia Zoo, The Academy of Natural Sciences, the National Constitution Center, the fascinating Please Touch Museum and the Eastern State Penitentiary.
One of Philadelphia’s greatest assets is the amount of public art on display around the centre, which is obviously free to enjoy too. This includes a very modern and innovative ‘Mural Arts Program’ that is designed to minimise graffiti and brighten up otherwise dull building fronts. A great open space that’s full of public art is Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, which showcases the work of Isaiah Zagar.
Philadelphia is home to a huge selection of museums, many of which contain collections of international importance. In the Center City West district you’ll find the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Academy of Natural Sciences, Franklin Institute Science Museum, Mutter Museum, Rosenbach Museum & Library and Rodin Museum, while other districts house an equally eclectic selection of institutions and museums.
Flights to Philadelphia with Qatar Airways land at Philadelphia International Airport. Visa restrictions for entry into the country will depend on your country of origin, length of stay and whether your trip is for business or pleasure. Before you fly to Philadelphia please check the visa and passport requirements.
