Qatar Airways unveils three new destinations in Pakistan

Qatar Airways is set to commence passenger services to three new passenger destinations in Pakistan as part of the airline’s continued expansion strategy.

 

Beginning 16th July 2015, the airline will begin four weekly passenger services to Sialkot where it already operates dedicated freighter services three times a week. Sialkot also marks Qatar Airways’ first new passenger route to Pakistan since 2004.

 

A day later, on 17th July 2015, Qatar Airways will add Faisalabad to its Pakistan network with three flights a week, and from 1st August 2015, Qatar Airways will spread its wings further in Pakistan with the launch of three flights a week to Multan.

Qatar Airways discontinues partnership with Virgin Atlantic

As of 1st October 2015, Virgin Atlantic will cease to be an airline partner of Qatar Airways Privilege Club.

 


As a result of this, Privilege Club members will not be able to earn Qmiles or request award tickets on any Virgin Atlantic flights from the 1st October 2015 onwards.  For flights that have been completed prior to this date which Qmiles have not yet been claimed, members can still claim retro miles until 31st March 2016.

 

For Award travel on Virgin Atlantic, flights must be booked and ticketed by 30th September 2015. Members may select a travel date up to 30th April 2016 for the award ticket issued. Changes to award tickets can be made up until 30th September 2015. After this date, it will not be possible to make any amends, only cancellations will be permitted.
